Terms & Conditions

Check In & Check Out


Guests can check in between 16:00 and 20.00 and must vacate rooms by 10.30 on day of departure.
Early check is possible and is free from 14.00 (£20 charge/room before 14.00) but must be arranged at least 24hrs in advance by telephone or email. Similarly we do offer facilities for late check out, up to midday, but we must again have telephone or email notification at least 24hrs beforehand. 

Smoking and Damages


The Mansion has a non-smoking policy throughout,  we also have a damages and soiling policy. Breaches of these policies will result in a surcharge equal to the rooms full nightly rate for; additional cleaning and loss of income. Lost keys carry a charge of £20. Breaches of these policy may also lead to cancellation of your booking. You may be asked to leave if you break these rules.

Payments


Payments can be made when booking or in full when checking in or out. If no prior booking has been made payment is required in full on arrival. We accept cash, credit or debit cards (except American Express). We do not accept cheques, travellers cheques or vouchers.

If you have arranged monthly invoicing we expect to be paid by the due date, usually two weeks after the invoice date. If payments are not made on time any discounts given will be null and void and the whole invoice will incur interest of either 25% or as per The Late Payment Legislation.

Cancellations


We require at least 48 hours notice of cancellation. Cancellations must be by phone, email or letter. Cancellations of less than 48 hours notice will be charged at the full room rate for the first night, less than 24hrs notice and no shows will be charged at the full cost of the booking. Early departure is subject to the same terms as a no show. When you book a room you are agreeing to our terms and conditions and entering a contract and it is advisable that travel insurance is taken out to cover any unanticipated situations or costs. These terms are all at the discretion of the management.

Access

​

The Mansion consists of two buildings, the original building has no ground floor accommodation, however we have ground floor rooms in the newer part of the building. If you have any mobility issues please call to confirm that rooms booked are suitable for your needs, we can not be responsible where rooms are not suitable, we will always try to make alternative arrangements, however this is not always possible and any cancellation will be charged.

Noise levels

 

We operate a peaceful house policy at The Mansion, this does not mean we expect you to creep about in stocking feet, just remember there are other people in the house. We ask you to respect others when playing music or watching TV and when moving around the building. Ensure the volume of music, TVs etc is kept to a minimum after 9.30pm. You may be asked to leave if you break this rule.

Pets

 

Dogs are allowed in most parts of The Mansion but must be well behaved and under owners supervision at all times. We do not allow dogs to be left in the rooms unattended. Dogs are the only pets we can accept.

Parking and belongings

​

Cars are parked at the owners risk. The management of The Mansion cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to or from vehicles whilst parked in the car park.

Any belongings or valuables remain the responsibility of their owners. Any loss, theft or damage however incurred will not be the responsibility of the management of The Mansion.

Swimming Pool and spa

​

Our pool is open to B&B guests and for private hire, local rules must be adhered to whilst using it. As we rent the pool to private groups and Aquasplash swim school, it means the pool is not always available to resident guests. It is always available at some point during the day.
